The Croatian authorities decided to evict migrants from Ukraine from one hotel to another, but faced a real riot of refugees, according to local media.
According to Ukrainians, the municipality’s demand to move to a hotel located 22 km from the city was “a real drama.”
“Croats, thank you, but you can’t do this to us!” – with this headline, an article about the “uprising” of refugees was published in the local newspaper Jutarnji list.
Migrants refuse to leave, as they will have to pick up children from schools and kindergartens, as well as look for a new job. They demand to change local laws, according to which the tender for the accommodation of Ukrainians can be won by any hotel in the country.
