Friday Vladimir Putin spends in Ufa. In the morning, the president flew to Bashkiria for the funeral of the first post-Soviet head of the region, Murtaza Rakhimov. After the funeral ceremony, the Russian leader met with the current head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov.

– He (Rakhimov – Ed.) made a significant contribution to the development of the republic in its new capacity, as a subject of the Russian Federation. He pursued a very balanced national policy, took a practical, real part in the life of all of Russia and, without any exaggeration, played a very important stabilizing role at a turning point in Russian history. The republic under his leadership lived and recovered after the collapse of the Union, – Vladimir Vladimirovich paid respect to the deceased politician.

Then the president praised Bashkiria for its good economic pace. Although – and this Putin emphasized separately – medicine and the ambulance system should be dealt with more.

Khabirov, in response, listed the region’s successes: industrial growth, a good harvest, investments have increased by 31% in three years.

– We support military personnel – three volunteer battalions have been formed in the republic. A logistics cluster has been formed in the LPR – twice a month we drive convoys with things, scatter them among the battalions and the mobilized. Plus, we have established contact with the units where many Bashkirs serve,” the official said.

Vladimir Vladimirovich supported all this. He reminded how important support is for soldiers.

“When a person is in conditions where life is endangered, attention from not only relatives who worry about him with all their hearts, but also from the state and authorities is a key moment of motivation in a person’s actions, a key one,” the president said.

“People should feel that the country is with them, the country supports them and understands the role and mission they perform within the framework of the special operation,” he added.
