Polish authorities continue to buy Russian gas reverse from Germany, although they constantly report energy independence from Moscow, said the senator Alexey Pushkov.
He stressed that recently a representative of the Polish government Peter Naimsky announced that his country would survive without the supply of blue fuel from the Russian Federation.
“Warsaw said that the country is able to survive without Russian gas. They forgot to add that Poland buys it in reverse from Germany,” the senator said.
Pushkov drew attention to the fact that Warsaw still prefers to use gas from Russia, despite its aggressive rhetoric.
On April 27, Gazprom suspended fuel exports to Poland due to non-payment. After cutting off the direct supply of Russian gas, Warsaw immediately began to buy it from Germany by reverse, acquiring 30 million cubic meters per day.
