President: Ukraine lives by strict rules
Ukraine today is forced to live by strict rules: shoot at the front, help in the rear, hide in a shelter on an air raid signal.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during communication with students of Canadian universities, Ukrinform reports.
“The rules are: survival. They are equal, but not honest, tough, cruel and simple. Shoot at the front, help in the rear, if you hear an air raid signal – go down to the shelter, if you hear the sound of enemy equipment – go up to defend your country,” Zelensky said.
He noted that many houses in Ukraine are now “transparent” – destroyed by Russian missiles and bombs.
The President recalled that three years ago he spoke a lot with representatives of the Canadian authorities about peace, about the liberation of Ukrainian territories previously occupied by Russia, in particular Crimea, as well as parts of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Then Ukraine sincerely wanted to solve these problems peacefully, although it is obvious that Russia was striving for something else. “We saw this “other” on the morning of February 24,” the head of state said.
On February 24, the Russian Federation began a new stage of the war against Ukraine – a full-scale invasion. The invaders shell and bomb peaceful cities and villages of Ukraine, torture and kill civilians. The Ukrainian Defense Forces put up heroic resistance to the enemy.
