This trip has been intense. I don’t think I can keep traveling at the same pace as before because of my age and my knee. I need to either treat myself more carefully in order to continue to serve the Church, or consider leaving the ministry, – said the head of the Catholic Church.

The six-day visit of the Pope, according to his own statement, was necessary for him to apologize to the indigenous people of the country for the cruel treatment of them and their ancestors by the Catholic clergy, in particular, in schools.

In Canada, the pontiff met with the local population, but there were also official ceremonies, the participants of which admitted that Pope Francis really looked tired.

– The change of dad is not a disaster, it is not a taboo. The door is open – this is normal. But until today, I have not knocked on that door. I did not feel the need to think about it – but this does not mean that in a couple of days I will not think about it, – the Pope said in a conversation with reporters.
