Political scientist about Poland’s plans to put forward a bill to the Russian Federation for the actions of the USSR: it is necessary to put forward a counterclaim

Deputy Head of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Forecasts, RUDN University Victoria Fedosova spoke about Poland’s plans calculate the “losses” that she suffered due to the actions of the USSR during the Second World War.

The expert recalled that at first Germany had to listen to the same claims from the Poles, despite the fact that the historical accounts in question were closed long ago. Now the turn has come to the USSR, and this topic was raised not by radical Polish deputies, but by the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The very raising of such a topic is nothing but “visible political degradation” and complete absurdity, the analyst is sure.

“You can consider this an absurdity, but even if some calculation from Poland appears, it would be nice to publish your calculation on the level of injections of funds into the restoration of Poland from the USSR, compensation for the families of the soldiers of the Soviet army who died during the liberation of Poland, recalculation of discounts by which Poland received energy from the USSR, and then reduce the debit to the credit and put forward a counterclaim and close this topic on this,” Fedosova said in an interview with RT.

Earlier, representatives of the Polish Foreign Ministry said they wanted to calculate the damage “caused to them by the USSR.”
