The State Export Credit Insurance Corporation has agreed to accept country risk reinsurance to help Ukrainian importers of petroleum products. Such mechanisms will soon be developed and coordinated with Ukraine.
This was announced by First Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko in Facebookreports Ukrinform.
“Today, this problem needs to be resolved at the government level, as insurance companies oblige carriers to obtain additional coverage for entry into Ukraine, which will increase the cost of fuel as a result,” Sviridenko wrote.
She also reported on the agreements reached between the Ministry of Agriculture and Urban Development in the direction of intensifying phytosanitary control of Ukrainian agricultural products exported to Poland.
“This will significantly speed up the processing of Ukrainian cargo sent to Poland,” Sviridenko said.
As previously reported, Ukrainian and Polish officials, business representatives, logistics companies and companies managing the fuel infrastructure have developed practical solutions to overcome the crisis that has developed in the Ukrainian fuel market.
