PAN warned that with the Electoral Reform, AMLO will seek to “impose” Morenistas as INE advisers
Towards the discussion of the electoral reform proposed by the president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO), the leader of the National Action Party (PAN), Marko Cortes Mendoza, denounced that the government of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) seeks to return to the “old days of the single party” and impose electoral advisers.

Resurrected Goes through Mexico; PRD assured that they will reject the Electoral Reform
After several months of internal conflicts between the members of the opposition alliance, the opposition coalition will return
This Monday, November 21, through a statement, the national leader of the blue and whites called on civil society that came out to demonstrate on November 13 throughout the country, to remain “vigilant” in the face of the “constant siege of the regime” against the National Electoral Institute (INE).
In the text, the PAN leader highlighted that the march was the beginning of a social struggle in defense of democracy and freedoms in the country. “Today, Mexico needs citizens to closely follow the legislative process that is taking place in the Chamber of Deputies,” she added.
In this sense, he denounced that the electoral reform promoted by the current administration seeks to return to the “old days”, in which the single party imposed the result of the elections.
“It is very important not to lose sight of the fact that the INE, democracy and freedoms are threatened, that the electoral reform is just one more link in the chain of authoritarianism of the Morenista regime, which seeks to disappear, control or weaken the electoral referee, seeking to let the old days of the single party that organized the elections and imposed the result return”
In the statement, Cortés Mendoza warned that the government and his party will resort to “their usual traps” and, above all, They are going to try to control the INE by appointing directors as.

Therefore, he urged citizens to be very attentive to the integration of the Technical Evaluation Committee that he will propose to the directors, since “there may be the trap”.

Alito Moreno insisted on the reconciliation of Va por México and assured that “it has a present and a future”
The PRI leader predicted a favorable outlook for the opposition ahead of the 2023 and 2024 elections despite the recent ruptures
It should be remembered that the Political Coordination Board (jucopo) of the Chamber of Deputies will propose 3 of the 7 members of that committee, the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) 2 and the National Institute for Access to Information (INAI) two others.
“As the CNDH has become one more body of Morena, it could be expected that the morenista president of the CNDH (Rosario Piedra Ibarra) proposes two morenistas for the Technical Evaluation Committee. So the society and the opposition parties must act togetherwith facts, because the democratic life of the country is in serious risk”, he sentenced.

Likewise, he explained that this is a new fight for democracy, “like the one that Acción Nacional has given throughout its history”, from the protests over electoral fraud until the formation of an electoral system “that has guaranteed the transition peacefully, but that today is under threat from the regime,” he recalled.

What does AMLO’s “plan b” consist of in the event that his electoral reform is not approved?
President López Obrador accused that the opposition urgently needs to discuss as soon as possible the proposal he sent to reform the National Electoral Institute because there is still no two-thirds vote to approve it.
“I ask the citizenry to keep an eye on all political actors, especially legislators, so that we comply with rectitude and facing the nation in defense of our democracy; for us there is no greater objective than defending the INE and that is why we are ready to act in favor of Mexico”, concluded the leader of National Action.

It should be remembered that, in the event that Congress does not approve the electoral reform, the president López Obrador announced that he is already preparing a “plan b” to change secondary lawswithout the need for a qualified majority in the Chambers.
“Since the constitutional reform issue is resolved once and for all, and since it is so important that there be democracy, it is probable that I sent a reform to the law that does not require two third parties (of the vote of Congress), a plan B”
