Oleksandr Kucher headed Dnepr-1

Ex-defender of Shakhtar Donetsk and the Ukrainian national team Oleksandr Kucher became the head coach of the Dnepr-1 football club.

The appointment was announced press office Dnipro, Ukrinform reports.

Kucher’s contract with Dnipro-1 is for two years.

The coaching staff of the new team coach from Dnipro will include Yuriy Ushmaev, Andrey Kudimov, Valery Gorodov, Evgeny Baryshnikov and Alexander Gritsay.

Since the summer of 2020, the 39-year-old Kucher has led Metalist Kharkiv, which led them from the Second League to the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL).

At the post of head coach of Dnipro-1, Kucher replaced Igor Yovichevich, who headed Shakhtar.
