Norway handed over 14 Iveco LAV III armored vehicles to Ukraine

Norway donated 14 Iveco LAV III armored vehicles to Ukraine.

“Norway continues to contribute to the struggle of Ukrainians for their freedom. The government is constantly evaluating how Norway can provide further support to Ukraine in protecting the country from a Russian invasion,” Minister of Defense Bern Arild Gramm commented on the transfer of armored vehicles.

It is noted that the armored vehicles of the Iveco LAV III type transferred to Ukraine have good mobility and protection. It was this technique that was used by the Norwegian military in Afghanistan.

Norway previously transferred other military equipment to Ukraine, in particular, artillery, portable air defense systems and armored personnel carriers.

As Ukrinform reported, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that since April, thousands of servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been trained to use and operate foreign-made weapons and military equipment. Ukrainian fighters have already mastered 155 mm artillery systems M777, FH-70, self-propelled guns M109, CAESAR and PzH 2000, MLRS M142 HIMARS, self-propelled guns “Crab”, as well as a significant number of armored fighting vehicles M113, Bus-Master, Husky and Wolfhound.
