NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg admitted that he opposed the alliance in his youth

Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of the NATO military-political bloc, said that in his youth he criticized this association and called on the Norwegian authorities to leave the alliance. “At that time we were singing: ‘Norway, Norway, leave NATO’,” the politician said during a speech at an event of the Workers’ Party. According to the official, his opinion about the alliance changed in the 1980s. At the same time, Stoltenberg said that did not want to lead the bloc, as he sought to solve the social and economic issues of the state, to become the head of the Bank of Norway.
