It is planned that the ruling Social Democrats in Sweden will decide on the issue of joining the alliance on May 15.
Finnish President Sauli Niiniste is also expected to announce his support for NATO membership this week.
At the same time, Croatian President Zoran Milanovic promised to veto the entry of Sweden and Finland into the alliance.
