Nadezhda Kichenok lost the match of the first round of the WTA doubles tournament in the USA

The Ukrainian-Slovak couple Nadezhda Kichenok/Tereza Mikhalikova was eliminated from the fight at the WTA 500 tournament in San Jose (USA) with a prize pool of $757,900.

In the first round match, Nadezhda and Tereza lost to the fourth seeded Chinese duo Xu Yifan/Yang Zhaoxuan – 3:6, 3:6, Ukrinform reports.

Kichenok and Mikhalikova had their first joint match. In May, the Slovak played with her sister Nadezha Kichenok Lyudmila at the WTA 250 tournament in Strasbourg, where the pair also lost in the first round.

Next week, Nadezhda, together with the representative of Slovakia, is announced for the WTA 1000 tournament in Toronto.
