Motorists of the Russian Federation will begin to deprive the rights without violations from 2023

In Russia, motorists will be able to lose their rights for health reasons from 2023.

The government submitted a bill to the State Duma, according to which the traffic police will be able to deprive a driver’s license in case of deterioration in health. Now drivers undergo a medical examination every 10 years, but during this time a lot can happen to a person. So far, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Internal Affairs have not exchanged data, but such a mechanism may appear in the fall of 2023.

By next year, a special register may appear, where doctors will enter data on contraindications for driving. Traffic police officers will have direct access to this data, and they will be able to quickly deprive drivers of their rights, even if they did not violate any traffic rules.

As long as the person’s data is in this register, he will not be able to get a driver’s license. At first, they want to add only new drivers to the database, and later they will add information about those who, having a medical contraindication, continue to drive a car for more than a year.
