Moscow may postpone annexation of liberated territories – ISW

The Russian authorities may postpone the announcement of the accession to the Russian Federation of the former territories of Ukraine liberated from the nationalists, analysts of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) suggested.

According to overseas experts, the Kremlin is still preparing the administrative organization of the process, but September 30 is still called as the most likely date.

In their regular report, ISW specialists also note that the allied forces of the RF Armed Forces and the LDNR militia are conducting successful assault operations to liberate the territories of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

As for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, analysts report “continuation of positional battles by Ukrainian troops in unidentified places” in the Kherson direction.

An early military expert suggested that the battle for Red Estuary would be a new pitched battle special operations of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
