More than 66 thousand women today work and serve in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Pavlichenko

The gender approach introduced by the Ministry of the Interior resulted in a 66,000 representation of women in various positions in the Ministry’s system.

According to Ukrinform, Deputy Interior Minister Kateryna Pavlichenko said this on the air of the telethon, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports. Telegram.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs has been introducing a gender approach for several years in a row, ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men during their service. Thanks to this, more than 66,000 women are working and serving in the Ministry of Internal Affairs today. Women are represented by employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system: policemen, national guardsmen, rescuers, border guards,” she said.

The Deputy Minister also noted that women are part of specialized police mobile groups to identify sexual crimes committed by Russian invaders on the territory of Ukraine.

Pavlyuchenko is sure that “women in the service are the balance of the unit and increase the confidence of the population.”

She assured that the Ministry of Internal Affairs will continue to work towards gender equality.
