More than 30 Kalibr missiles on Russian warships in the Black Sea
The armed forces of Ukraine ensure a stable situation in the Odessa region, although the invaders threaten missile strikes from the sea, create a base for an attack on Serpent’s Island and try to undermine the situation in the unrecognized Transnistria.
It is reported in Telegram Vladislav Nazarov, representative of the South operational command, Ukrinform reports.
“In the Odessa region, the situation is stable and controlled. The composition of the naval grouping of rashists in the Black Sea does not change significantly, which carries the threat of missile strikes. Enemy activity is also traced around Zmeiny Island,” Nazarov said.
According to him, enemy forces continue to promote provocations in Transnistria.
“There was an attempt to set fire to the military enlistment office in Tiraspol and a fake attack on the oil depot. The loosening of the situation should become the basis for accusing Ukraine of encroaching on the territory of the unrecognized republic,” Nazarov said.
At the same time, the defense system of the border regions of the Odessa region testifies to the absurdity of such accusations. Systemic counter-sabotage measures are also being carried out and the protection of the state border is being strengthened.
The representative of the operational command noted that at present there are four ships and two submarines of the Black Sea Fleet in the Black Sea, which carry more than 30 Caliber cruise missiles. This creates the threat of missile strikes both in the south and throughout Ukraine.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, the enemy has not abandoned plans to take control of Zmeiny Island and deploy “Pantsir” anti-aircraft missile and gun systems and Tor-M2 air defense systems here, which are capable of “providing short-range air defense of the Russian Federation.”
As reported, as a result of the actions of Ukrainian sailors, on the night of May 12, Russia lost the logistics support vessel Vsevolod Bobrov near the Zmeiny Island. In total, over the past weeks, near the Zmeiny Island, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have shot down or destroyed half a dozen ships and boats of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, including the flagship cruiser Moskva.
