As part of the Army of Drones project, which was launched on the United24 platform, over 600 million hryvnias have already been raised for the purchase of drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fyodorov during a trip to the Dronarium school, the training base of Army of Drones operators, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Our task is to provide the army with such a number of drones that they are enough for every line of resistance and defense. To date, we have already collected more than 600 million hryvnias for these projects, and also contracted for the supply of large batches of relevant equipment,” he said.
According to the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, the ministry continues to raise funds for drones in order to systematically buy and distribute them throughout the front line.
Fedorov added that assistance is also being provided to schools where the military learns to fly drones, practice flight tasks, camouflage skills and develop tactics.
Drone Army is not only about raising funds, but also about training specialists. We will now accumulate funds to help schools financially and with all the necessary equipment,” the minister added.
Drone Army is a project initiated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Information. This is a comprehensive program, within the framework of which a systematic purchase of drones, their repair, as well as training courses for relevant specialists are planned. The project started on July 1 this year.
