Ministry of Equality: House of Representatives approves the creation of the portfolio in the third debate

This Monday, December 12, the House of Representatives approved in the third debate the bill that would create the Ministry of Equality, which would be led by Vice President Francia Márquez. The initiative had 139 votes in favor and 15 votes against.

The creation of the portfolio is also being discussed in plenary session of the Senate, where the last debate is taking place to make it a reality. It is important to remember that the bill was sent with an urgent message from the national government.
