MES recommends starting education in institutions of out-of-school education from September 1

The Ministry of Education and Science recommends resuming education in out-of-school institutions from September 1, and the form of organization of the educational process will depend on the security situation.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science in Telegramreports Ukrinform.

“In the new 2022/2023 academic year, educational activities in out-of-school education institutions are recommended to start on September 1, 2022. At the same time, the form of organization of the educational process (full-time, distance, mixed) is chosen depending on the situation in each individual locality,” the message says. .

Recommendations The MON provide that full-time education can be introduced in the premises or buildings of an educational institution only within the estimated capacity of civil protection structures that can be used to shelter participants in the educational process in the event of an “air raid” signal or other appropriate warning signals.

At the same time, when conducting the educational process in full-time format, the responsibility for the safety of all participants in the educational process rests with the heads of institutions.

The introduction of a remote mode is necessary in the institutions of out-of-school education in the territory of warfare and temporarily occupied territories.

According to state statistics, as of January 1, 2022, 1,263 out-of-school educational institutions operated in the education system, attended by more than 1 million 14 thousand children. As a result of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, 12 institutions of out-of-school education were destroyed and 60 were damaged. Institutions in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporozhye, Lugansk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Sumy and Chernihiv regions suffered the most.

As Ukrinform reported, according to the State Emergency Service, in Ukraine now only 11% of educational institutions have their own civil protection facilities.
