In the Mykolaiv region, which is under daily shelling, no forced evacuation is currently planned.
The head of the regional military administration, Vitaliy Kim, said this at a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center – Ukrinform.
“We are shelled every day, and this has never happened before. But here I have to be pragmatic. Since the beginning of the war in the Nikolaev region, 403 people have died, another 1,435 have been wounded. But this figure is moderate in relation to other regions. Therefore, we are not planning a forced evacuation yet,” Kim said.
He is also convinced that the liberation of Kherson region will lead to a decrease in shelling.
As reported, for the past month and a half, Nikolaev has been subjected to daily massive missile strikes, there are casualties and significant destruction of infrastructure and residential buildings.
