September 26 during a meeting with Vladimir Putin President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that the citizens who left after the start partial mobilization, will return. This was reported by the press service of the agency “Belta”.
“We are being scared by mobilization, here someone has run abroad. Listen, Russia has 25 million mobilization resources. Well, let 30 thousand run away, well, 50 thousand. And if they stayed here, would they be our people? Let them run,” the Belarusian leader said.
Lukashenka urged not to worry. He stressed that after the presidential elections in 2020, thousands of citizens left Belarus. And now they are “requesting back”.
“Most ask: take it back. Let them run. And these will come,” he said.
Lukashenka also spoke about the citizens who left Russia.
“You can’t do that. You can, in the end, agree here and not run around Europe and America, as was the case with the Bolshevik revolution and after it. The situation is not the same,” the president clarified.
