Latvia urges EU to recognize Russia as state sponsor of terrorism
The European Union should stop issuing tourist visas to Russians and officially recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
According to Ukrinform, such an opinion in Twitter said Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edgars Rinkevics.
“The EU should consider recognizing Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism. I also reiterate the proposal to introduce a ban on the issuance of European tourist visas to Russian citizens,” said Rinkevics.
He condemned “the brutal killing of Ukrainian prisoners of war by the Russian armed forces in Olenivka and the constant mass crimes committed by the Russian military against Ukraine.”

As Ukrinform reported, law enforcers opened criminal proceedings on the shelling of Olenivka, Donetsk region, by Russian troops, as a result of which about 40 people died and 130 were injured.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian military deliberately fired on the colony in Olenivka, where Ukrainian prisoners of war were kept.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, the murder of Ukrainian prisoners in the temporarily captured Olenivka was carried out by mercenaries from the Wagner private military company.
