Kostyuk and Kichenok will compete for tickets to the quarterfinals of Roland Garros today
The second tennis tournament of the Grand Slam series, the French Open, continues in Paris.
On the eighth game day, Ukrainians Marta Kostyuk and Lyudmila Kychenok will enter the clay courts of Roland Garros, who will compete for tickets to the quarterfinals of the competition in doubles, Ukrinform reports.
Marta Kostyuk with Romanian Elena-Gabriela Ruse will face the fourth “rackets” of the tournament American Katherine McNally and Chinese Zhang Shuai.
Seeded 14th number Ludmila Kichenok and Elena Ostapenko from Latvia, in turn, will play with the third “seeded” Gabriela Dabrowski from Canada and Mexican Giuliana Olmos.
The total prize fund of Roland Garros is 43.6 million euros.
The French Open will run until June 5th.
