Karelia has surpassed Moscow in the number of cases of fraud

On the territory of Karelia most of the offenses related to fraud.

As clarifies karelinform.rufor comparison, the legal information portal of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation provides comparative data for Karelia and Moscow: in the region of “thousands of lakes” there are 268.1 cases of fraud per 100 thousand inhabitants, and in the Russian capital 258.2 fraudulent actions are committed per 100 thousand citizens.

However, there are two more regions in Russia where fraud is recorded even more often: the Komi Republic (296.8 per 100 thousand citizens), and the Murmansk region (295 such cases per 100 thousand people).
