Invaders caused damage to the environment of the Luhansk region for 38 billion

In the Luhansk region, Russian aggressors destroyed more than 17 thousand hectares of forest, the amount of environmental damage exceeds UAH 38.3 billion.

According to Ukrinform, this is reported by press office State Ecological Inspectorate.

“Specialists of the State Environmental Inspectorate in the Luhansk region, using modern space technologies, have identified large-scale forest fires in the Luhansk region and calculated the damage, which is 38,364,197,367 hryvnias,” the report says.

It is noted that as a result of fires, the territory of the natural reserve fund of the Kremensky Forests National Natural Park, the Kremensky Captages Hydrological Reserve and part of the Trekhizbensky Steppe Lugansk Nature Reserve were damaged.

As reported, 254 cases of ecocide have already been confirmed and 1,500 facts of the destruction of the Ukrainian environment as a result of the military aggression of the Russian Federation have been identified.
