Deputy Head of the Regional Rospotrebnadzor Galina Permina announced a decrease in herd immunity to COVID-19.
Permina read a report on the epidemiological situation with coronavirus infection in Ufa at the operative office in the Ufa City Hall. According to her, the incidence of coronavirus infection is growing throughout Russia. Mkset.ru reports that in Ufa the increase over the past day was 54 cases.
According to the regional Rospotrebnadzor, in Ufa, 91% of citizens who are eligible for vaccination have been vaccinated. However, only 24% of them have already been revaccinated and, according to Permina, this is not enough.
“The herd immunity decreases weekly. Today it is 15.7%. We have the month of August when we can get revaccinated, protecting ourselves and our loved ones from the rise in the incidence,” Permina said.
