Supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement (“Black Lives Matter”) published a call on social networks to disband the police in all States. BLM activists recorded all law enforcement officers as murderers and declared disrespect for them.
We don’t respect killers. Dismiss all cops. To hell with the police, – there was an entry on the page of the movement.
The fighters for the equality of black Americans timed their call to the Day of Respect for Law Enforcement Officers, which is traditionally celebrated in the United States on January 9th.
The Black Lives Matter (BLM) public movement appeared in the United States in 2013, but supporters of the fight against racism and police violence attracted the main attention in 2020 after the death during detention of a black recidivist and drug addict George Floyd, who was literally made an icon of BLM.
Using the protests as a pretext, the movement’s activists staged mass riots that spread beyond the borders of the country. Formally, BLM supporters demanded equal rights for blacks, but in fact, they robbed shops and persecuted dissenters on the sly. One of the consequences of the BLM protests in 2020 has been massive layoffs and cutbacks of police officers almost throughout the United States.
