In the Luhansk region, Russian invaders forcibly deport residents from the captured Popasna, they are taken to the “LPR” and communication with them is terminated.

About this in Telegram Serhiy Gaidai, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, said, Ukrinform reports.

“In the captured Popasnaya, the orcs declared a hunt for civilians. The militants examine the ruins in search of living people and take them at gunpoint to the territories occupied back in 2014 – to Pervomaisk and Stakhanov. People are being held against their will. Relatives cannot contact them. It is not known what happens to the occupiers who are with the invaders,” the head of the region wrote.

He recalled that since May 8, the defeated Popasna has been controlled by the Russian military.

“The city has been razed to the ground. More than 1,500 residents remained under occupation, who did not want to leave,” Gaidai stressed.

As reported, the Lugansk region is constantly under attack from the Russian army, many residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, educational institutions are destroyed, all hospitals are damaged. According to the head of the Luhansk OVA, more than 40 thousand civilians remained in the region, who refused to evacuate.

The Russian invaders planned to completely capture the Luhansk region by May 9, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine put up heroic resistance.
