According to the head of the military-civilian administration Kherson region Vladimir Saldothe authorities of the region do not plan to declare their independence after the results of the referendum on joining the Russian Federation are announced.
The head of the CAA explained that in technical terms, the region would be independent for some time, but the authorities did not intend to focus on this.
“Citizens want us to be part of the Russian Federation. And the Russian Federation is an independent state, so for some period of time it will probably be technologically, it will simply not be announced. There will be no special announcement,” Saldo told reporters.
The head of administration noted that the referendum can already be considered held, and most of the inhabitants of the region support its accession to the Russian Federation.
