In the blocked Mariupol, the invaders intend to launch a repair base for military equipment at the metallurgical plant named after. Ilyich (MMK im. Ilyich).
This was announced by the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Petr Andryushchenko in Telegramreports Ukrinform.
“Mariupol. Now. The occupiers are going to launch a repair base for military equipment at the Ilyich Iron and Steel Works. They are calling on plant workers to come to the premises of Nikopol-Providence on May 12 to start Ilyich-Reboot. However, there is no talk of a full-fledged launch of the plant for a lot of reasons. In fact, the occupiers are going to set up repair shops for tanks and armored personnel carriers at the MMK plant named after Ilyich. But again, the problem is personnel. For this, they are gathering people,” Andryushchenko wrote.
He noted that there is no one to go to work for the invaders, no one shows such a desire in the city. “Mariupol turned out to be such an unfriendly city for the occupiers that there is no one to even repair equipment in the city, where every second one is a master in this,” the mayor’s adviser stated.
As reported, Russian aggression caused one of the largest humanitarian disasters in Mariupol. A city without power supply, without water supply and without gas supply.
More than 100,000 civilians remain in the besieged Mariupol. The invaders take away Ukrainian passports from Mariupol residents and forcibly take them to Russia and ORDLO.
Mariupol continues to be defended by soldiers of the Azov Regiment, the National Guard, the Ukrainian marines, and motorized riflemen.
