In Mariupol – huge queues for drinking water

In Mariupol, the invaders cannot provide people with drinking water; there are huge queues at the filling points.

This was reported in Telegram Advisor to the Mariupol Mayor Petr Andryushchenko, Ukrinform reports.

“Provision of drinking water insufficient. There are huge lines at the spill points, but even here there is not enough water for everyone. Under special threat are people with limited mobility and the elderly, who cannot independently overcome kilometers to collect water,” Andryushchenko wrote.

He also released a video showing a queue for water near Hospital No. 2 in the Central District.

Attempts to restore centralized water supply, he said, brought people “sometimes a thin trickle in the taps of the first floors and lakes in the streets.”

The adviser to the city chairman noted that the humanitarian and water crisis is aggravated both because of the increase in the number of people in the city and because of the warming.

As Ukrinform reported, the Russian invaders are trying to create the appearance of “care” for the “liberated” Mariupol, but their actions only lead to new accidents. Yes, they tried to start the water supply without restoring the sewage system, because of which the city is threatened with an ecological and epidemiological catastrophe. Due to numerous gusts, water spills through the streets; the lack of high-quality drinking water is fraught with an outbreak of infections. For food, people stand in thousands of queues, there is not enough food for everyone.

Russian aggression caused a large-scale humanitarian catastrophe in Mariupol. For more than two months, the city has been left without water, gas, electricity, communications, and a well-functioning delivery of products. There are still between 130,000 and 170,000 people in the city, whom the invaders are unable to provide with food.
