The Kyiv city organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine held a social and informative event of psychological relief for children and adults Kids day Redcross in the capital’s park “Natalka”.

The event was held with the support of the Department of Public Communications of the KSCA.
“With the start of a full-scale war, Ukrainians are in a state of stress and constant psychological tension. Children suffer the most from this,” the state administration stressed.
As part of the event, 10 locations with various activities and quests were equipped in the Natalka park.
“The event is ideologically aimed at raising the spirit of the population a little, helping to relieve psychological stress. Our strategic partner, the Red Cross of the city of Kyiv, made interesting events for children, which adults can also join,” said Roman Lelyuk, director of the Department of Public Communications.
It is emphasized that while the children were engaged in creativity and solving logical problems, their parents had the opportunity to receive service information from the “Communication Center” about the events taking place at the Vcentri Hub sites. Each of the locations presented in the park was dedicated to a separate topic. A zone of face painting and moving exercises was equipped, master classes were organized to help the victims, a corner of medical consultations and a win-win lottery.
Volunteers also taught children and adults how to handle pets. The children were actively involved in caniscerapia – they got acquainted with dogs that help to unload psychologically.

As the head of the Kyiv city organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine Tatyana Goenko noted, all the established locations corresponded to the principles of the Society. A conditional map of all zones was handed to visitors at the entrance.
“At each location, the children received a special mark and must collect the magic word -” Ukraine “. Everyone who successfully completed the task received gifts: coloring books, soap bubbles, pencils and juice. In order to at least partially improve the psychological state of our children, we We have planned such events in different districts of Kyiv,” Goenko said.
As Ukrinform reported, Kyiv sent Ukrainian children from the affected families of Mariupol for rehabilitation in summer camps in Athens (Greece) and called for help in organizing their recreation and rehabilitation.
