In the Kharkiv region in the occupied Izyum, where the bodies of 44 dead were found in one house, people without equipment are dismantling the destroyed buildings between shelling.
This was reported in Telegram The press service of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration cited Oleg Sinegubov, head of the OVA, as Ukrinform reports.
“There is not one such house in Izyum, unfortunately. And there is no special equipment for clearing debris, everything is done manually and not around the clock. When there is no shelling, people come out and try to clear the rubble,” Sinegubov said.
According to him, it is not known for certain whether people were during shelling in the basement, or in their apartments. The house was completely destroyed.
As Ukrinform reported, on May 10, it became known that the bodies of 44 dead civilians were found in the rubble of a five-story building in the temporarily captured city of Izyum, Kharkiv region. Among the dead there are two families of five people, two more – of three.
The city of Izyum has been under occupation for more than two months and remains a hot spot in the Kharkiv region. Battles are constantly being fought in its direction, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding their positions.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are destroying infrastructure facilities, carrying out massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and towns using artillery, multiple launch rocket systems and ballistic missiles.
