In Ivano-Frankivsk, the writer Lyudmila Orkhimenko sells her books at a charity fair in the Shevchenko Park of Culture and Leisure to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Orkhimenko told an Ukrinform correspondent about this at the fair.
“I was invited by girls who weave protective nets. This is the second time I participate in such a fair: I sell my books, and I donate the money to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I do this not only at the fair. All my fee goes through volunteers to help the military. It happens when the guys turn, I give them help directly, ”says the writer.
She admits that the whole family left Kharkov in three cars back in May. The journey lasted three and a half days. We stopped first in Lvov, then moved to Ivano-Frankivsk.
“My reader just gave the keys to the apartment and said: “Live”. This is a three-room apartment of her parents, in which no one has lived until now. Now we live in it for free,” says Orkhimenko.
He admits that in Ivano-Frankivsk he is working on a new book about the war and the city under occupation. The book is co-authored to describe the military events in more detail.
Lyudmila Leonidovna Okhrimenko is a Ukrainian writer, volunteer. For a long time she lived and worked in the Crimea. Since 2014, she has traveled with humanitarian missions to the Luhansk and Donetsk regions to help volunteer formations and units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Her novel “Oscar” at the international literary competition “Coronations of the Word” in 2021 was recognized as the best on a military theme.
