in Europe – once a month, but need weekly

TV presenter and doctor Elena Malysheva shared your opinion about how often you need to change bed linen.

The doctor recalled that over time, mites accumulate in the bed, getting there with dust. The statistics here are impressive – the number of mites can reach 30 thousand pieces per gram of dust.

Malysheva drew attention to the fact that, according to statistics, abroad it is customary to change bed linen once a month, but she advises doing this once a week.

And if a person suffers from allergies or asthma, then in addition to the weekly change of linen, you also need to pay attention to the temperature at which it is washed – it should be at least 60 degrees, and after drying in such cases, it would be useful to iron the linen with a hot iron.

“Bed mites are considered one of the most common causes of allergies, including bronchial asthma,” said colleague Malysheva. Andrew Prodeus during the program “Live healthy!”.

Malysheva added that when choosing bed linen, silk sets should be preferred, as this fabric has the best absorbency. Cotton options are also good, while synthetic bedding is not the best choice.
