Liberated Southern regions of Ukraine should become a new region of the Russian Federation. This was stated by the head of the Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov.
He noted in an interview with RIA Novosti that these territories need to go the way of Crimea. The residents of the liberated regions, the politician stressed, should independently decide their future fate after the end of the Russian special operation to demilitarize Ukraine.
“I’m sure they should have their own way, no one should be admitted to Crimea. It should be a new region,” Konstantinov said.
He added that Crimea is a full-fledged subject of the Russian Federation. His Russian status, the head of parliament explained, has been legally restored in compliance with international standards.
Konstantinov promised to provide all necessary assistance to the liberated regions of Ukraine in terms of accelerated integration into the Russian political and economic space.
Formerly Deputy Chairman of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson region Kirill Stremousov announced that the region would strive to become one of the subjects of the Russian Federation.
