Head of the IAEA Rafael Grossi met with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal. Following the talks, Grossi stated that agency missions will be placed “at all Ukrainian nuclear power plants.”
Separately, Grossi stressed that the work to strengthen the safety of the Zaporozhye NPP continues.
“I had an excellent meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal… We agreed to host IAEA missions to ensure safety at all nuclear power plants in Ukraine,” Grossi said at a briefing following the meeting.
At which specific NPPs the IAEA missions will be located, the head of the agency did not specify whether he considers the Zaporizhzhya NPP to be “Ukrainian”.
