After the armed attack suffered by the journalist, the capital authorities managed to arrest 11 people allegedly related to the events.
During the early hours of Wednesday, January 11, members of the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) and the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (FGJCDMX) performed 12 simultaneous searches in different parts of the capital.
As a result of the operation, 11 people were arrested, including Pedro Pool “N”identified as leader of a criminal structure linked to crimes such as homicide, extortion of merchants and drug dealing.

The apprehension of the alleged material author was announced by the head of government of the CDMX, Claudia Sheinbaum, via social networks. According to the report, elements of the capital’s security forces participated, as well as agents of the Secretariat of National Defense (sedena) and the Michoacán Prosecutor’s Office.
“This is the person who was co-pilot on the motorcycle the day of the attack,” the official specified.
