Since September 21, more than half of the established draft of 300,000 people has arrived in the Russian Armed Forces as part of the partial mobilization that began on September 21. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu spoke about this at a conference call on Tuesday.

“In accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, a partial mobilization has been carried out in the country since September 21. Today, more than two hundred thousand people have arrived in the Armed Forces,” Shoigu said.

The head of the military department noted that during the partial mobilization, “a large number of volunteers come to the military commissariats.”

“It is extremely important to carefully approach each such appeal – not to refuse anyone, unless there are serious grounds for it,” he drew attention to individual cases of refusals.

The Minister of Defense instructed the Main Directorate of Control and Supervisory Activities to “carefully control the entire range of measures for partial mobilization.” And he recalled that the relevant officials “instructed to provide the mobilized with the necessary sets of clothing and other property, appoint them to military positions.”

Shoigu stressed that “training of personnel of formed units at 80 training grounds and in six training centers should be carried out by officers with combat experience, and military personnel should be sent to combat areas after training and combat coordination.”

The head of the military department also spoke about how our servicemen had to defend citizens who came to the referendums: “During the days of the referendums that took place in the Luhansk and Donetsk people’s republics, in the liberated territories of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, units of the RF Armed Forces shot down seven aircraft and 45 drones of the Ukrainian army, 109 rockets “Haymars” and “Alder” of the enemy. During the election campaign, 7 enemy aircraft, 45 unmanned aerial vehicles, 109 Hymars and Alder rockets were shot down. Thanks to the measures taken, hundreds of lives were saved and referendums were held.”
