Hitmen executed four members of a family in Celaya

An armed group murdered four members of a family in the municipality of Celaya, in the state of Guanajuato.

According to the first reports, the crime occurred around 7:30 p.m. on January 11 inside a building located on Rambutan street, in the Real del Sur neighborhood.
The armed subjects arrived aboard several vehicles, entered the building with violence and without saying a word shot multiple times at the victims who were inside and then escaped.

The detonations alerted the neighbors, who immediately notified the emergency number 9-1-1.
Minutes later, elements of the Municipal Police, the State Public Security Secretariat, as well as the National Guard and medical personnel arrived, who found the bodies without vital signs of two men and two women.

The minor had been hospitalized since December 21, where her health was declared in critical condition.
Witnesses told the press that the victims were a young woman, her boyfriend, an adult woman and her brother. All the corpses were transferred to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo).
Meanwhile, personnel from the Guanajuato State Attorney General’s Office cordoned off the house and began the corresponding investigation.
Until 6:30 p.m. this Friday, no authority has reported on the motive for the crime, the alleged perpetrators and no arrests in this regard.
Since 2018, Guanajuato is the state with the highest number of homicides in the country.
In 2022, from January to September, 2,424 murders were registered in the entity, a figure that represents 10% of those that occurred nationwide.
