Their determination and assertiveness in the Russian Ministry of Defense are set as an example for young servicemen.

“Corporal Denis Sanigarov, as part of a group of Russian paratroopers, carried out the task of taking control of a strategically important airfield in one of the settlements. The airfield was guarded by armed formations of Ukrainian nationalists numbering up to 500 people. In the course of the mission, acting as part of a control platoon, Denis and his comrades landed by landing from a MI-8 helicopter, after which they immediately entered into battle with superior enemy forces. Having knocked out the enemy from their positions, the platoon, which included Denis, began to deploy a command post in the conditions of enemy mortar fire. Demonstrating a high level of combat training, professionalism, courage, bravery and selflessness, Denis organized stable radio communication between the command post and the higher command. The enemy repeatedly attempted to destroy the command post, but faced with a defense carefully organized by Russian paratroopers. In the course of repelling enemy attacks on a deployed command post, Corporal Denis Sanigarov personally destroyed up to 10 nationalists with small arms fire. The bold and decisive actions of Corporal Sanigarov allowed the command to coordinate actions to take the airfield under their control.”

“During the course of the special military operation to protect the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Sergeant Roman Novikov, showing personal courage and courage, made more than 10 trips as part of automobile convoys to areas located in close proximity to the contact line. During the marches, Roman delivered over 70 tons of cargo, which ensured the maintenance of constant combat readiness of units on the front line. Sergeant Novikov, as part of a convoy for the supply of ammunition and food, ensured the delivery of goods to the main forces of the division, leading offensive operations against the positions of the nationalists.

The enemy made an attempt to cut off the supply of the Russian advancing units and opened massive mortar fire on the rear column. As a result of another enemy salvo, the car moving ahead of Sergeant Novikov’s car was hit and caught fire.

Not at a loss in this situation, showing selflessness, Roman, together with his department, organized the evacuation of 4 wounded servicemen from the burning car to his car as quickly as possible and left the place of the mortar attack. Thanks to the courageous and decisive actions of Sergeant Roman Novikov, the wounded servicemen were promptly taken to the battalion’s medical center, where they were provided with the necessary medical care.

“Sanitary instructor, foreman Sergei Vasiliev, as part of a group of Russian paratroopers, carried out a combat mission to conduct offensive operations against the positions of Ukrainian nationalists. During the movement of the unit, Sergey discovered a machine-gun crew of the enemy PKP. Using the folds of the terrain, Sergei secretly approached the equipped machine-gun point and, by throwing an RGD-5 grenade, destroyed the enemy’s machine-gun crew. Thanks to the bold and courageous actions of foreman Sergei Vasiliev, up to 5 nationalists were destroyed, and the unit managed to move in the given direction without loss.


On June 22, on the Cathedral Square of the Main Temple of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Action-marathon “I REMEMBER” was held. The culmination of the event, dedicated to the Day of Memory and Sorrow, was a memorable concert-performance “In the Heart of the Mother”. The actors of the performance plunged the audience into the bitter story of a mother who saw her son off to the front. The stage action is based on well-known musical compositions, choreographic sketches and poems.

The audience heard heartfelt poems and songs written by witnesses of those terrible years, as well as by our contemporaries, whose duty it was and remains to transmit from generation to generation feelings of true patriotism, true unity and spiritual power on the example of the unfading feat of the united Soviet people at the front and in the rear. .
