We continue to acquaint with the heroes of the special operation “Z” – participants in the hostilities in the Donbass. Privates, sergeants, corporals and officers who showed their professional experience, character and completed combat missions. Their determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the police units of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, are given the highest rating.

Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the counteroffensive of the nationalists, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for the sake of praise and awards.

The servicemen are sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.

“It is better to meet danger than to expect it on the spot,” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who did not lose a single battle. But he warned: “Going forward, know how to return.”

“Ensign Zamir Gadzhimuradov acted as part of a group that was assigned the task of defense. The nationalists, trying to regain their lost positions, over and over again made attempts to break through the defensive lines. Ensign Gadzhimuradov, having settled down in the battle formations organized in one of the directions of defense, repelling the attacks of the radicals, destroyed the militants who were breaking through with fire from a grenade launcher. During the clash, one of the Russian servicemen was wounded. Risking his own life, Ensign Gadzhimuradov personally pulled a seriously wounded colleague from the battlefield to a safe place, independently provided first aid, which saved his life.

During the day, the group, which included Zamir, repelled several enemy attacks, causing significant damage to the manpower and weapons of the nationalists. The enemy was forced to retreat. Using a temporary ceasefire, Ensign Zamir Gadzhimuradov’s unit changed positions to a safe area, which made it possible to avoid casualties among our servicemen.”

“As a result of the shelling at the stronghold of the unit, the equipment providing power supply was disabled. Despite the ongoing mortar shelling, Senior Sergeant Ivan Nevmerzhitsky carried out urgent repairs and restored the power grid, which made it possible to prevent the unit from losing control.

After the repairs were completed, he promptly returned to his position and continued to fight, during which he personally destroyed the enemy’s squad. From the hits of nationalist shells, one of the combat vehicles caught fire. Senior Sergeant Ivan Nevmerzhitsky was nearby and immediately rushed to help, removed two wounded who were unconscious, evacuated to shelter and provided first aid. Thanks to the well-coordinated actions of the unit, which includes senior sergeant Nevmerzhitsky, the attack of superior enemy forces was successfully repelled, the heavy losses of the enemy in manpower allowed the Russian units to change their position to a more advantageous one, retaining their personnel and weapons to continue the battle.

“The calculation under the command of senior sergeant Smirnov kept Russian troops from breaking through the defense line. Armed formations of Ukrainian nationalists made an attempt to penetrate deep into the defense and attacked the positions of Russian military personnel. When conducting defensive operations, the calculation under the command of senior sergeant Vladislav Smirnov, occupying a strategically advantageous position, repelled 2 attacks by a significantly superior number of the enemy. The aimed fire of senior sergeant Smirnov destroyed 4 vehicles, the Osa anti-aircraft missile system and up to 50 nationalists, which caused significant damage to the advancing militants, depriving them of the opportunity to continue the offensive. Taking advantage of the temporary ceasefire, Senior Sergeant Vladislav Smirnov ensured the redeployment of positions to a safe area for regrouping.
