UK expanded sanctions, imposed by it against Russia for a military invasion of Ukraine. Among the new restrictions is a ban on the import of cash pounds sterling into the Russian Federation and the provision of technical assistance, financial services and brokerage services related to the export of goods from the “black list” to Russia, follows from a message published on Thursday, June 23, on the website British government.
The document states that in Russia it is forbidden to export goods and technologies for internal repression, components and technologies for the production of chemical and biological weapons, goods and technologies for maritime navigation, technologies and equipment for processing oiladditional technologies and components for critical economic sectors in the Russian Federation.
Not the first tightening of sanctions
Separate mention is made of the ban on the export of aviation fuel and fuel additives to Russia, as well as the import of iron and steel from Russia.
Britain has repeatedly tightened sanctions restrictions against the Russian Federation due to Russian aggression in Ukraine. Among other things, London has already imposed sanctions against Patriarch Kirill and Russian officers involved in alleged war crimes in Bucha.
