Germany will not lift sanctions against Russia – Burbock

Head of the German Foreign Office Annalena Burbock stated that Germany would not abandon sanctions against Russia, even if it would be beneficial to Berlin.

“Sanctions against the Russian Federation cannot be withdrawn even if they have an effect on Germany,” she stressed.

Previously it was reported that ban on the supply of Russian oil is no longer included in the sixth package of anti-Russian sanctions.

Recall, on May 4, the European Commission presented the sixth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, which proposes to ban the import of Russian oil, disconnect Sberbank from the SWIFT payment system, and also ban the broadcasting of three state-owned Russian TV channels in the EU.
