The food industry in Germany was hit by the worst crisis in the last 70 years. Soon the Germans may face food shortages.
Food manufacturers have warned that high energy prices will force them to stop operations, writes the German newspaper Die Welt.
“There is a threat of a significant food shortage in the daily food supply of people in Germany. The situation is more than serious,” industry representatives turned to the authorities.
They recalled that many enterprises are preparing for bankruptcy, which means that shelves in supermarkets and shops in Germany will be empty in the near future.
