G7 ambassadors welcomed the appointment of SAP head

The ambassadors of the G7 countries welcomed the appointment of Oleksandr Klymenko as head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.

This was announced on the Groups page in Twitterreports Ukrinform.

“The G7 ambassadors welcome the appointment of Oleksandr Klymenko as head of the SAP today by Prosecutor General Kostin. President Zelensky made this a long-awaited, positive completion of the selection procedure,” the diplomats noted.

In their opinion, this is a huge leap forward on the way to creating an anti-corruption architecture of Ukraine that is suitable for achieving goals.

“Now Ukraine must make sure that the SAPO is provided with all the resources and institutional independence necessary to fight corruption in the highest echelons of power,” the ambassadors of the G7 countries added.

As reported, Oleksandr Klymenko was appointed head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office today, July 28.

On July 19, the competition commission for the election of the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office approved the results of the competition: the National Anti-Corruption Bureau detective Oleksandr Klymenko scored the most points.
