Forest fires were recorded in 77 out of 83 Russian regions, a special fire regime was introduced in 49 subjects of the federation.

The agency reported that on May 9, 184 forest fires were eliminated in Russia, the area covered by fire is 8,721 hectares. 101 forest fires continue on an area of 12,713 hectares. The largest area of fires in the eastern part of the country – especially in the Amur, Kurgan, Irkutsk regions, as well as in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
According to information media, in the Kemerovo region, 129 man-made fires have been reported over the past day. At the same time, 36 dry grass fires are known, possibly due to arson.
