Five released Azov commanders to remain in Turkey until end of war – Zelensky

“Ukraine returned 215 heroes from Russian captivity. We greatly appreciate the contribution of everyone who joined the rescue of the defenders, and we will never forget about it. I sincerely thank Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his leading role in this process. We agreed that the five released Azov commanders would be in comfortable conditions in Turkey until the end of the war and would be able to see their families. Ukraine, as a token of gratitude for helping our state, released five British citizens, two US citizens, citizens of Morocco, Sweden, and Croatia from Russian captivity. Thank you for helping Saudi Arabia,” Zelensky said.

Zelensky stressed that Ukraine remembers everyone who is in Russian captivity and will do everything to save them.

According to the GUR, more than 700 Azov residents still remain in the hands of the enemy.
