As is customary on these days of the Day of the Dead, bank branches will remain closed on November 2 as it is considered a day without banking activity, however, according to the Association of Banks of Mexico (ABM) the only branches that will offer their services on day 2 will be those located inside commercial warehouses and supermarkets during traditional hours.

To the above, if you have any pending payment as urgentdon’t worry because the agency reported that customers have more than 59 thousand ATMs and 48 thousand banking correspondents at their disposal, as well as the digital banking and telephone banking, which operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Besides, the ABM recalled that the Law for the Transparency and Regulation of Financial Services establishes that, in the event that the deadline for a payment corresponds to a non-business day, the payment may be made on the following business day; so you have nothing to worry about.

It should be noted that according to the calendar of holidays of the Association of Banks of Mexico, the dates on which bank branches do not provide service were detailed and in November there will be two important holidays.

One, as we all know, is that of Wednesday, November 2, and the second suspension of activities will be the third Monday of November in commemoration of November 20, that is, November 21, so reported (ABM).”The National Banking and Securities Commission publishes in the Official Gazette of the Federation the days on which credit institutions must close their doors and suspend operations during 2022″.

However, it is important to highlight that Banco Azteca announced that they will work normally during next Wednesday, November 2, 2022, with a schedule from 9:00 in the morning until 9:00 at night, so any type of procedure can be carried out without any problem. “We are for you whenever you need us. We are the only 100% Mexican bank that is open from 9 to 9, 365 days a year. #SueñasDecidesLogras” wrote the bank agency on its Twitter account.

In addition to November 2, 2022, according to the calendar of the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV), banks will not provide services during the following dates:

December 12: The banks of Mexico will remain closed during this day, since the Bank Employee’s Day is celebrated.

December 25: At Christmas, banks will suspend their operations in their various bank branches.

On the other hand, it must be remembered that in general, the country’s workers have the right to their holidays days or compulsory rest, since it is a right that is granted to them when signing the employment contract.

Even the Federal Attorney for the Defense of Labor (Prophet) stated that holidays are guaranteed by the Federal Labor Law, dates on which employees must stop their activities and, if they work, charge an extra amount.
